Join us on Monday 11 September at 17.00 BST at Coram for this lecture by Jonathan Darling (Associate Professor, Durham University). Jonathan will discuss the development of a growing politics of division in the UK, exploring how asylum has become a site of spectacle and staging framed around divisive and often unworkable proposals. You can read Jonathan’s full abstract and learn more about him here.
The lecture is part of the Migrants and Solidarities research project, and forms part of a series of events to mark the 50th anniversary of the Thomas Coram Research Unit. It will be followed by a drinks reception at 18.30 BST. It is free to attend.
Please note that this event is in-person only.
